Eric Ravilious was an English painter, designer, book illustrator and wood engraver who studied at the Royal College of Art under Paul Nash. His early work focused on the English countryside as well as urban scenes of London which epitomised the sense of Englishness that existed between the wars. Ravilious was appointed an official war artist in World War II but was killed in 1942 at the age of 39 on an air sea rescue mission off the coast of Iceland.
Art Angel are card publishers based in Norfolk, specialising in British artists. The very best in contemporary art and design cards, reproduced from original linocut, wood engravings and screen prints to name but a few of the techniques they use.
Art Angel cards are manufactured in an ethical and sustainable way, all products are printed and assembled in the UK, using either recycled or FSC certified materials, all cards are wrapped in bio-degradable, compostable cello and all their production processes are ethically audited by SEDEX.
They are working to eliminate single use plastic from all their products, and plan to be entirely plastic free durning 2020.
